SRV OWNED Fender Strat Tokai Guitar Neck RARE FIND HERE
Stevie Also Posed for the Texas Flood Album Cover with this Neck on the Strat (Tokai) for SRV 1st Album Front Cover....Titled Texas Flood..... Now the Front Cover is what a hired Artist was paid to draw their Art Work of Stevie holding a Guitar.. Notice the 2 pickups are Humbuckers, not 3 Single Coil like a Strat would have. Also the neck is a Maple fretboard, not Rosewood.. as This Neck is and Stevie Always played RW Necks.. Again it's what the Artist album cover folks came up with. This neck came from Cezar Diaz about 1 year after Stevie passing, and all I just said is how it was told and a COA is included in this sale stating such.
You can go online and find alot about this time period and the almost signing of Tokai with Stevie.... Facts are a Tokai Strat is better than Fender back then. Better wood, better built, better Tone. Japan had it going on in them Law Suite Days..
Stevie himself scratched off the Tokai decal and installed a Fender one.. put the Fender Decal on the headstock, and kind of scratched some of the Fender Strat decal off some... as you can read and hear him talk about this in magazine interviews on him talking about the days before he was discovered and went on to be the worlds wide Great.. that he and Double Trouble had became..
Again: This Neck comes with a COA of it's provident, and one from my shop also.
I have had this Neck as my own, and this is the 1st time ever offered for purchase.. I had this Neck on a SRV#1 Fender Strat.. that I built with ALL the Same year parts as Stevie Ray Vaughan #1 Strat was. I'm here to tell you. Since day 1 when I put this neck on a Strat as a complete Killer Playing guitar.. I never had to adjust the neck ever. EVER.. More Ever in all these years. It's set up dead straighjt. Zero Relief. ( thats how I like my guitar's set up) It played PERFRECT, Every Inch Every Note on that Fretboard.
This Neck has Mojo/Vibe/Stevie DNA Spirit... I don't know how to say it.. every time I played the Neck... It was made for SRV by Tokai and was on the 7 Tokai given to Stevie. 5 Strat's 2 Bases back in the Day When Japan was KING in making some of the Best Strat copies Ever. And Before SRV Made his 1st Album, and Before Fender came in and signed Stevie With Fender... and Fender loved the Quality of Tokai So much so, Fender didn't sue them for Trademark on the Stratocaster ( Law Suite Era) they hired Tokai to make Fender Guitar's.
