This is Hands Down Best Fender Strat I heard or Played made since 1992!
Well there were only 50-100 made. This is like be 3rd earliest one made or documented if you go by the SRV dating web site
Ser# 906396
Feb 25,1992 Body Date
March 10,1992 Neck Date
9118 pot date(That's 18th week 1991) my scale is stock on 1-2 oz off from zero. So with strings off this is a 6-1/2 lb Strat. you Never Ever get one this light. You never get a UNREAL Kick Butt Brazilian Slab from Fender. This Strat is part of History. Fender history!
It is even I would say a Proto Type. The Brazil were made in the Custom Shop as Fender did not know all they was to do. This is Why not many Brazil neck ones. Also notice the old school late 60s with Brass 3 Way Switch. Fender came up with some of these old stock on the Fullerton Models also. Also look at the Green and Blue marking dot on the pickups. Early Texas Specials Baby!
Only 2 other SRV on the site have earlier Ser#s, so this be 3rd Earliest with neck and body date!
This is All Original but has a $200 Titanium Trem block. These are better than any other block out there, plus make the Strat lighter. ALL that is stopping you to make it 100% is a lefty SRV Trem block. The Strat NO BULL Plays like Butter, and The balance and Sustain is a 10 out of 10. The pups are set to perfect height and truly Fun as heck to Play and Listen to. I never had or seen a lighter weight one. Fender pulled out the best seasoned Alder for this proto, and Best Brazil board I ever seen on a SRV Brazil. I have owned 5 of these.1 is still my own.
It is in Excellent shape, not mint, but 9 out of 10 shape in my book. Pictures show all. Buy it Play It, Enjoy It, Invest in it. Price is Firm* That simple.
The SRV Strap is not included.
