I got direct from Vince Cunetto, who had all these years...left over from when He did all Fender Custom Shop Relic finish and age/relic work!
To Be Blunt, I never played 1 Cunetto that didn't Have WOW Bell Tone. Same with the 1982 - 84 Fullerton. Yes in my book they are a Big step ahead and better than anything made now. I didn't the new Custom Shop are bad at all, I sell them.. but I don't own even 1....:)
Fender History 1995 Start of Cunetto Era Super Relic Strat(stamped 1995 in neck pocket) You see these 2 Bodies... Fender Sent These 2 Bodies to Vince Cunetto in 1995, as Sample of Color and Contours (shape) etc for Vince to see, and approve. ( Remember Cunetto started All this Super Relic We all love. Fender knew how to build a Strat, BUT Not Relic or Age parts back then)
As you see these are 2 NEVER used Alder bodies, not even the pickguard,output,back trem cover screws have been drilled yet!
