These Shaw pickups were a little known secret among Les Paul enthusiasts but have come on strong in the past year. Originally designed for the early '1959 Burst reissues, these Alnico PAF's were used in a number of Gibson's in the early 80's. This one has all the features you look for when identifying a Shaw including the date stamp (Jan '84), extra lead hole on bottom and, most importantly, the medium output of 7.34K. Cover has never been removed so I don't know what color the bobbins are.
If you're restoring a 25 year old Paul, or simply want one of the most authentic 'Burst tones Gibson has ever had, this one's in beautiful shape with full leads of 11" which will work for bridge or neck.
