1975 Orig Travis Bean TB-1000 Standard Aluminum Neck KOA Wood Tone Beast!
Lowest ser# I seen for sale in years! This is a Low ser# 140.. Travis Bean started with ser# 11, so this is the 129th one ever made! I think they made 1422 of this model. This is the earliest one your going to find. It has the old school smaller cavity for pots. The smaller horns..Short time later the horns went wider..These guitars with the Aluminum Necks are part of History.
These guitars were hand made by Travis and Mark McElwee
Travis Bean. It's the name of a California motorcycle enthusiast who decided in the early 70's that aluminum would be a step forward in guitar design. He thought that it would be a much more stable material for the necks. Using a neck-through-to-the-bridge design also improved the sound and sustain of the guitars.
Many Famous players used them.. not a Mint one, as it was played.. But you do Play Your Guitar's?????
They made like 1422 of these. This is 22nd one listed as recorded on Data base... 100's after this one..
