Not many Fender Mustang in Orange were made. Most have the Orange painted headstock also.. This Was Does Not!

This Mustang is 100% Original. Only issue is it had a strap button on lower horn. In the pictures it had a newer strap button on the lower bout, I have installed a PRE CBS Fender strap button on now. and plugged a strap button hole on bottom.. See pic

Go look all over in the shops.. You will see many so so played not taking care of Mustangs. You will Not find a Orange with Red racing strips... You will never fond a Cool SRV earned playing wear on them. Some guitar's have it, some do not. I'm about selling, buying, owning keepers.. Another words.. "the great ones"

The stripes ran around the forearm contour along the front of the guitar. The stripes consisted of 2 thin stripes on either side with a thick center stripe. The base body color was between the stripes. The stripes did not extend to the back of the guitar, they only appeared on the front.
Another feature of these guitars was that the headstock color matched the body color. However, this feature was discontinued after a few years and the Mustang went back to a standard lacquered headstock. Another bit of trivia is that the matching headstock versions got a cream colored label while the non-matching ones received a plain black label.
