Ronnie Montrose Fender Paisley Custom Shop USA 1968 Tele
Sale is for Pink Paisley only here. Yes I have pics with another guitar (Blue 68 Strat) because these both are C Width Neck Big Ass Rare Guitar's. Show me any dealer that even has a C Width Wide Neck Strat or Tele, let alone 2 of them. Well they just look like a Pair.. a happy pair to me! This Fender Paisley was Ronnie's own creation. He had Fender Custom Shop Build it to ALL his specs! Yes Fender used a Licensed Warmoth Neck, Seymour Duncan Pickups, Wilkinson Bridge. Fender still had to build body, Alder Wood. Apply the Paisley from Ronnie, Build a Clear Pickguard, Paisley the headstock. To his weight of 8-1/4 lbs. Build a control assembly with output jack on top, 1 volume pot, special wiring, caps etc. Ronnie Montrose was no dummy. He knew Tone, Style and HIS Own thing!!!!!!!!!!!
He did NOT want custom shop decals, he wanted Esquire decal, but 2 pickup Tele. Brazilian Slaboard. MANS Guitar.
It is just as I got, but I added a 1969 Real Fender Case, and the strap buttons are from a 1969 Tele. I just mite change my mind and keep. I mean how often you "ever" get a chance to own a Fender from the man himself.. Even if it was not from him, it is one of ONE....
The neck plate has his initials RDM 1014.. Ronald Douglas Montrose and 1014 for his saying... No Mans Land
Now you can say why have a tele that is 8-1/4lbs. Listen lighter DOES NOT Always mean better tone. You need mass to get thump. Ever play a 8 lb Les Paul? Junk. You need mass for thump.. Plus the dang neck is a Monster::

The Pink Paisley Wall Paper Ronnie got from Fender back in late 1960's from a employee.. Ronnie had it and saved it for many years until got around to doing His Build*
Every Single Guitar & Amp Ronnie used or owned was modified. Everyone! So Same Fender Paisley "wallpaper" THAT FENDER Used is right here. The Neck is Freak Of Nature.. Tone and Volume and Sustain that you never experienced! The strings just vibrated for Ever!*!*
In 2002 Fender custom shop did this guitar for Ronnie Montrose . The color of the edges is Tangerine sparkle and the neck is super wide "D" width.
This guitar was built to Ronnie's specs and is still in excellent original condition.The guitar has one knob and one jack on the front, no jack on the side as per Mr. Montrose's design.
