1968 Orig White Maple Cap Fender Stratocaster

Basically the pickup assembly when I got was changed to other parts etc. I Had a GREAT complete 1966 Assembly all orig but 5 way that was in a My own personal 66 Strat Player I had for years in my shop. This guitar needs real assembly. As you see it's been played. WHY you own them????
The truss rod area is carved out some. People done this to get at the adjustment without taking neck off. AS We all seen, bodies, pickguards carved out etc. Nothing at all wrong with neck, adjustment etc. nothing. just a Well Played ENJOYED Fender part of history bragging rights Rare Strat!
The 8 in ink on necks heel is 1968. Fender did this on bodies and necks from 1968-1970. You see ink stamped on last #9 be on a 1969, 0 be on a 1970, 8 be 1968. Maple Cap necks were Special ordered. Id say 1 out of ever 5,000 60s Strats were maple Cap. To me, I will only wounder why Fender did not make more? They are twice the tone of Rosewood. Jimi Hendrix thought so.....
A 100% White maple Cap Strat fetch $30,000 to $35,000 IF YOU FIND ONE. You do see Sunburst Maple Cap, never Black or White. Not for sale anyhow. It's a Player guitar, and The Best one out there!
