1963 ORIG Gibson SG Special P-90 Pickups With Covers & Screws UNREAL BELL TONE
(you get 2 pickups, 2 covers, 4 screws) These came from a Killer Polaris White 1963 Gibson SG Special. It was professional routed for PAF Humbuckers. Don't you darn laugh, I like Vintage p-90's over PAF's. I can get pretty good bell tone from a newer hum bucker Les Paul. The newer P-90's Gibson, All suck.. to me.
Here is 56+ year old Real!
Go play a 62-63 Gibson with P-90's. Then a 65, 67.. later.. The Early 62-63 Are Way Better.
You get Original covers and screws to hold the pups in the guitar. All original length. All original all.
Bridge reads 8.24k
Neck reads 8.51k
Perfect readings, both over 8k. Many are in the mid to higher 7's k range. This is Blues Power, turn the tone back, lower the Volume some and get REAL with Bell Tone. They be in a $5,000 to $8500 1963 Gibson. You can go wrong with these Pups.. Brother...*****
I want to add. I/We love the 1953-1956 Gibson Gold Top Les Pauls with P-90's, wrap around bridge. They have creme covers. I put a set of this year 1963 in one I had for years, in place of the lower output mid 1950's pickups, and BANG.Perfect feedback, Sustain City! Just use the creme covers, and early 60's 8k+ power... such as these..
PS: The LP I done this to had a headstock repair and was player grade. So don't think I took a 100%, and just swapped out pickups..:)
The last 2 pictures showed the guitar these would of came from.. Price? Almost 9k...
