Fender '63 Reverb Unit Reissue Limited Edition Tweed Valve Reverb
1x 6L6
1x 12AX7
1x 12AT7 tube
Designed to match perfectly with the vintage Tweed Fender amps from the 1950s, this Reverb Unit employs the same circuit as Fender's other '63 models, but boasts a lacquered tweed exterior with a brown metal 50s style Fender badge and period correct oxblood grillcloth with gold stripe.
This USA made, all tube design delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, powered by a 6V6 and a pair of 12AX7s in the preamp. With controls for Dwell, Mix and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle, and this classic Fender effect simply goes in line between your guitar and amp! Cosmetically, this unit is near mint, with clean lacquered tweed, "Brownface" faceplate and barrel knobs. The chrome serial number plate on the back of the unit is factory fresh and boasts of the units construction in Fender's Corona, CA factory.
Here's what Fender has to say about their recreation of the classic 6G15 Reverb Unit circuit:
"For guitarists who absolutely must have the real-deal sound and style of Fender’s original early-’60s reverb unit, this is it. The famous all-tube Fender Reverb unit has been a staple of virtually every surf recording and performance since the early ’60s, and blues and experimental players love it too. The reissue ’63 Fender Tube Reverb returns you to the sound’s wave-cresting early-’60s origins, with authentic vintage styling and unmistakable surf-drenched sound that can be used with any amp."
The original on/off footswitch and manual are included.
