This is a Excellent 52 Year Old Player Strat
The Guitar is all 1959 but the body. It was a refin 59 Strat. The Pro Player swapped the body out with a 1-64 Original Finish Alder Body.. As can see under hood, has funky who knows what route.. Get over that. Look at it together, and GREAT Price! (Call 218-879-3796 Central Time Zone for hands on description..... This Strat in in my room as of now!
Case is late 1960s, Strap is 1965 Real Deal. Trem Arm is 1966 Vintage one
Weight is 7lbs 6 oz. So 2oz over 7-1/4lb
Vol pot is not orig. Both Tone and Cap are. Orig 3-way
Pickups are the Slaboard 1st year Fender went to South Polarity.. Slaboard Brazilian Rosewood Neck.. Give us the Deep Blues Tone, along with 1959 Pickups... AKA SRV Goods!
The Body has a pencail date 1-64.. Really this is a 1963 Body. Has nail holes, and Only in beginning of 64 we see some body dating..
I say again.. Look at it whole. You NEVER Know it's a 63 body, not 59......Been this was forever, both body and neck match... So Neck is average up by nut, but does get pretty beefy towards heel.. Frets have been leveled and polished and neck is set to .05 neck relief. Straight, and low action.. Lower than I like it, but it plays like butter and left it this way.. I guess pictures with do the talking.. :)
