1959 Original Dakota Red Over Sunburst Fender Strat Body
In this sale you get the 1959 Strat Body with Strap Buttons Only. This has been 1 of of my own personal Strat for years.. Older Nitro Refinish in Dakota Red Over Sunburst
This body has a small repaired lower horn high E side route professionally done. Look at photo #2 and I have wording and black arrows pointing to the repair. Under Black light you can't even see the fix, on the back where to finish is worn off you can see. The Body Bock Rocks! Real Deal, Pre CBS 1st Year Slab Neck, and Bell Tone of 66+ year old Fender!
All contours of the body is as it left Fender in 1959. Look on the sides of the Neck Plate, The Tremolo sits in the back of the body like it should. You see some re finish Pre CBS Re Fin Strats, where the block sticks out from the back of the body, or real close to sticking out to where you can't even use a back trem cover on, as the trem block sticking out.toucjing the back cover.... Some got belt sanded the finish off. Thats 1 reason I'll show the Body Built as a whole Strat when I'm listing just the body for purchase.....
With Just the Strat body photos to see before maybe a purchase..., you mite be in for a surprise.. When you go to use it then see what I'm saying.,,.( that's why the body only weights 3.5lbs, 1/2 lb was sanded off!)
Basically the owner thought it was a good idea to cut a little off in that area so he could play the notes easier in the upper frets while doing lead.. The wood for the repair came from 50's Fender Pre CBS (Alder) Body from another Strat body that was modified heavy over the years I had in my shop that I use for repairs.
This Strat body came from the original owner. In 1959 he purchased a Sonic Blue and a Dakota Red with GOLD Hardware , and this Dakota Red Strat Body had a 8 hole 1st year Green Nitro Pickguard. There is still only the original 8 screw holes in the body for the pickguard. All contours
are 100% perfect.

Black lights out with some original finish (Glow) in neck pocket and whole finish is already glowing as it was done years ago.. I put alot of thought and time into what I feel is a one of a kind finish and aging/look 61+ year old 1st year earliest 8 hole Nitrate Pickguard ,Brazilian Rosewood Slaboard Neck, Custom Color AND Gold Hardware..Part of history Fender Stratocaster body.. Just a few weeks before this all Strats had a Maple Neck, White single ply guard.. Leo did us good with the change!
