Early 1957 HERE FOLKS. THIS IS A $18,000+ Guitar in this Clean Shape IF YOU Can Find one. Not many Around As I said in video. All Orig but tail piece ( one on there now is from a 1952 ) and 30 year old well done Pro repaired headstock. NO touch ups, overspray... noting.If you know glues repaired wood if done correct, It IS Stronger than orig
Now you can say but it has a glued crack? Valid question. Well 99% of ALL bodies, Gibson & Fender and All of them are glued together wood. You see bodies falling apart? Or a headstock on All Taylor Acoustics are Glued on headstocks. In a stress test, wood will break before that glued area. So it's just a thing, so Jam on :)
The Gibson ES-175 was one of the most important electric archtop guitars to ever come out of the Kalamazoo factory. It is an all time classic and was a true players guitar. It was a deep body guitar and had a warm distinctive sound which was found only in the more expensive Gibson guitars such as the Johnny Smith and the L-5.
