1957 1961 1962 1971 Fender Telecaster All Original Blond & Oly White
I did these pics to share and show how many think they got a Blond Tele or Blond Esquire, but a very Few were finished in Olympic White as a Custom Color, starting back in 1957. For 5% up-charge Fender offered.
From left to right in 1st picture is a 1962 Fender Esquire.1961 Tele, 1971 Tele, 1957 Tele. All are 100%
If you see no grain showing threw the finish and have the luxury to have a side by side compare it can be confusing. The Jan 62 Esquire is Blond, you can see grain in wood, next to it is a 61 White Olympic White Tele with clear over the White. It's a the final clear Nitro that over time gives the "glow" yellow under a 18" black light. On far right is a 57 Olympic White Tele, no clear was put over the finish. Thus no "Yellowing" or really glow.
Take the 71 Tele, that has been Bar/Club/Venue played for many years. Thus the Killer Yellow Amber finish we all love.
You know I am a Strat guy. As a teenager I was a LP threw a Marshall playing power cords and dirty... Over the years about 17 or so I play a Strat threw a Princeton Reverb clean with a hair of reverb. Now I'm 53 I'm leaning towards PRE CBS Tele & a 1959 Fender Bassman.....Maybe finally growing up?
Shit that ain't gonna happen!....:)
