Folks if you ever wanted a 59+ year old All orig Gibson Bell Tone Gem... Here is your shot at a GREAT price!
here is the "ONE" All Original but tuner buttons and black plastic jack ring.. in MY Book, get over them 2 changed parts. 95% of the 50+ year old Gibson's have the jack ring so brittle you have to be so care full plugging in cord and 9 times out of 10 got to wiggle the cord to get sound. If playing out, Boom no sound... no Good
The tuner buttons, well them old small shrived up buttons make it hard to tune, your scared any second there going to break!!!! them 2 items are going to come.. Just when?
The Case is a new SOLID kick but Les Paul SKB Case. The orig alligator looks cool. BUT suck and 98% are falling apart. Please I play Guitars. ALL Of them. I Play Old ones, 1 last thing to mentioned. Gibson Les Paul Jr from 1954-1956 have the High E Bridge post close to P- 90 pickup. Most have leaned forward on these Nice guitar's, because.. well not much wood from post to pickup route. In 1957 and on Gibson moved Post back some, thus more wood between. BUT the 54-56 are Fatter Sounding and the one's you want. This one had longer post inserts installed and that wood area glued. LOOK at post no, Straight and fixed so be OK for 3 more life times
So the 3 things that happen to 95% of these are fixed.. see my point.
Very Clean on Front. really No Fret Wear, strings sitting in nut NICE. Dang BELL Tone Player, FAT NECK, LIGHT weight
As you see it has one side tuners single line, other no line. Gibson just used a earlier 54-55 no liner, as with knobs are 54-55. I'm not taking pots out, but this be early 1956 Guitar.. THIS IS A GREAT GUITAR...GREAT
Go look around. Prices are $8,000 and not this clean! The Ser# is in Black, Gibson used Black and Yellow Ink for their Ser #'s on these. In person you can read the numbers, hard to see in film. You see the black light pictures, ALL Orig as stated..Numbers on Tone pot is, IRC 6152632 250K B 518 which ='s 1956
