Made from the same black bakelite materail (Phenolic Resin) as a rear guard has. Look at black light photo....

These guards are 1.5 to 1.7mm. This is 1.65mm. So correct thickness..Most all the new Custom Shops and repo ones are 2.0mm or thicker.. Not Good!

This Blackguard was made in the 1980's. Has years of real wear and I have owned the Pickguard for over 15+ years as my own..Killer Find/Keep! Just makes any Telecaster Look that much better...
