Look at the Neck and Body dates, then the COA.. It's over 1-1/2 years apart. Fender only did very few of these back in the Cunetto days. Back then, you had to go to "Certain" dealers. Order the Nowcaster. Pay up front, then wait 1 to 1 1/2 years to get. No one on earth do that now days, and very few back then. But Until Fender did this Relic Old School 1st years of Fender Relic's. The ONLY WAY to get one, was get the real deal. At $80,000.. You know the rest of my words on that!
John Cruz is a Mater-craftsmen now. Was Fender #1 guy back in Cunetto days. To get him to build you a Nowcaster like this. There be a 3 year wait, and it cost over $10,000. The wood Fender was using back here. Is twice as good in my book. This Investment Grade Cunetto was built when they built a few a week, not thousands a week like now days.. Think on that. Only Tone Better than this Cunetto.. Is the Real Deal..
Ok. Yes the COA says Feb 1999. I am calling it a 1997, all body parts are mid 1997.. This Whole Cunetto is all 100%. Even has that little dumb sticker on back on neck plate as they come new from Fender. The hinges still have blue plastic on them as they come new from Fender back then. The Nitro Finish and Color is of the BEST I have ever seen from Cunetto days. The whole package is a Winner.. Hands Down. Probably one of the last Cunetto's to leave Fender, as Mid 1999 it went to the Fender Custom Shop to do the whole process. In early 1996 Fender build the guitar. Send it all to Vince Cunetto in a big garage, Vince finish the body and neck. Relived all the parts and body/neck. Send it all back to (in this case John Cruz) Fender and Fender build and ship to customer who paid like over a year ago. It started out as alerts see if buyers want beat up looking guitar's. Before Cunetto, every thing was perfect new looking and built. Id rather have a Cunetto Relic, than a 1982-84 Fullerton.. I write is as I like it folks. All day, everyday.. fender, fender, Fender.. I never get sick of it....

John Cruz paws built this Baby******
L@@K at last few pictures under Black Light... The Finish Cunetto Put on these Great Relics was same as Leo Did Back in the Day, and glows like a real 1950 Fender Nowcaster does!
