1950 FENDER ESQUIRE 1 Piece Swamp Ash Relic Body made Dan Shinn of Lays Guitar in Akron OH
This was Dan's personal build. He owns Lays Guitar, and is always coming up with Great tone, but not great money. He finds OLD Growth/Rare Wood from all over, gets (His luthiers) people he knows to make a neck, or a body. He frets the neck, or finish the body and relic, and makes to correct specs etc. Plays for some time. I end up buying MOST his builds.. Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD! Never been steered wrong by him.... Never!
Body was made by another Luthier. Old figured Swamp Ash. LIGHT Weight.. Correct Blond Nitro.. Thin Skin.. Correct fading under Pickguard. Tele/Esquire weight was 7 lbs 3oz built! So feather weight here folks.. I sold the neck, so now I parted it out. I have a youTube video, so you can hear it's Tone and See the Body in action..
I only get Great guitar's or parts. Here you are getting a Master Builder built body.. Old School, Old Growth... with output jack and strap buttons!

The finish really looks 54+ years old, not the new in correct Fender Custom Shop Blonde finish you see. This baby is faded and Old Sch@@l

The Esquire as it was built, Tele you pick, Had Tone CITY, Not Thin sounding AT ALL. Nice Blues FAT PHAT TONE....brother.......
