1959 Orig PAF Gibson Les Paul ES 335 Byrdland Neck Pickup
100% Original
This is the "narrow" spaced version as found in a Byrdland,ES-5 Switchmaster or ES-350T
They sound function perfectly in the neck position of a Les Paul or 335 etc.
This one reads in at 8.28k and makes a phenomenal neck pickup.... Has 12" lead
These early nickel covered/gold plated... "Patent Applied For" PAF
I played this pickup in a Gibson 1959 L5 Guitar.. UN FREAKING REAL DEAL. Tone,Vibe,Just took you back to the REAL DEAL Guitar Tones, FROM Back in the Day Old School!!!!
Ok, the last 3 pictures I took the narrow spacing PAF and put it on 2 Les Pauls to show you it is Great for Neck Pickup. The differences in pole spacing from reg to narrow is narrow is 1-13/16" from E to E pole. Reg space is 1-15/16".. SAME exact size as a Humbucker Gibson Pickup.
A Les Paul string width is narrower at neck pickup... compared to bridge.. Go ahead go look at one of your Gibson Les Pauls. I did my best to show this with last 3 pictures.. You will not be disappointed...
Note that narrow spaced pickups work great in a Les Paul. The total spacing is only 1/8" less than standard and divided among six strings. It has no effect on tone and is cosmetically unnoticeable unless you are really looking for it.
