July 2 with Aaron Lewis of Staind I sold 2 guitars to him from Eddie V
Just to share where 2 of my Best Tone Monster's went yesterday July 2
Aaron Lewis lead singer of the band Staind has bought over half a dozen guitar's off me in past. Yesterday I met him at Wille's . Aaron took a taxi to there.
I brought my 2 axe's from me for Aaron with me along with some friends to Willie American Guitar. Now all 5 of us went in my car around the city buying Vintage Amps and Guitar's. All totaled we had 5 guitar's, 2 amps and 5 people in my car. We went to Solidbodyguitar . Aaron pickup up a Great 1965 AC 30 Vox there! ( until you lived playing threw some great Tone in the music, you are missing out, in music land)
Well off to Staind's tour bus, back stage at A Taste Of Minnesota festival in St Paul. There was other bands before the head liner Staind played
Aaron bought from me the 1958 Gibson ES-355 ( only 10 ever made in 1958 I mite add), and a Orig 1958 Fender Strat 2 Tone hardtail, but has 59 orig slab neck from me. (pictures on his bus with me as #1 pic)
They both Sounded UNREAL on Stage. His guitar tech put 14-60 strings on them tuned 1/2 step down, Drop D tuning. Well this is the music of Staind. All that was cool, 'BUT" the tech took to dirt off the fretboard during setup. This hurt a little, either you are with me on this, or your not!
Them PAF's were so PHAT
going threw all that power, and feedback so controlled is was just history. It is neat watching a group from back stage perform without the pushing etc from crowd out front. All in All very Great time had by all.
There are certain things in life one thinks about doing. I for one always wanted to drive a Big fancy Band Tour Bus. Aaron said OK I can drive his. He even was going to call his bus driver to see, But his tour manager did not think it was a good idea.( and expressed this) Some think I was kidding, I was not, but I got a picture of me sitting behind the wheel. Maybe next time* Very Blessed day.Praise God. Peace: Eddie V
