This is an extremely rare Fender Stratocaster made in 1966 during a brief period that Fender was experimenting with neck binding and for the first time. Ultimately Fender chose to put binding and Clay Dots on just the Jazzmaster and Jaguar models, but their are a few known examples of Stratocasters with bound necks and block markers. ( Trust Me The Strap looks better with Dots than markers in my book
You see my video's.. This Strat is One of Best Ever! The Neck is a Full C Shape BIGGER Size Neck.. To me it feels like a C size nut width.. probably because it's a Big Man's Neck, and the Binding... L@@K At the Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard? Factory Bigger Frets.. All 3 Pickups are Over 6k.. All Original but has a mid 70's 5 way.. Decal was flaking off, so new one on now.You can see part of old decal under black light
66 pots, All windings on pups are orig... As can see some routing under guard, as has another assembly in one time.. What is Cool, the Olympic White Orig Nitro Finish has aged Duck Yellow we All Love..but it was painted Black first at Fender.. And If you know the facts, many custom color Guitar's if finish had a flaw, they just grab another and use, and when paint was good and dry down the road used again and just painted over whatever color..
