1964 Orig Pre cBS Fender Strat Body 3lb 10oz
Sale Is For Body Only Nothing to say. Great Old Refin... Alder Wood. Light Weight! No extra screw holes, All Orig contours are present. The body was chemically stripped ( by luthier) before it was refinished 25+ years ago. You can see the trem block on back side of body is right where it should be. So the original finished wasn't sanded off by hand or belt sander like many owners did back in the day, thus contours and body thickness are???? ....Lets say tweaked and not as Leo made them
Now It is starting to glow under black light. It takes a good 40 years to glow real good under the light, but parts of original finish still present. ( as can see the glow)
.... Body was refinished by professional in correct Thin Skin Nitro. I mite add the Sunburst Color and Tint is dead on for PRE CBS early 1964 Strat. In 1965, 66 Fender had more yellow in the 3 tone.. and dead give away it's not PRE CBS Fender. Also 1 1964 Strat are $20,000+ for Sunburst now in All the Vintage Guitar Shops, that is if you can find one even for sale. Go look around.. PRE CBS is drying up. 74 White Strats are $6500 to almost 9k...Just about all that is for sale are hacked up, been around the web once or twice trying to find a home. This had a Feb 64 neck date when I purchased it, and parted out to sell in parts. You wont be disappointed on this Body..
