1964 1965 Gibson SG Special LEO QUAN BADASS Bridge Mod By Eddie Vegas
You know Eddie Van Halen isn't the Only player trying to squeeze all the Tone you can get out of a Axe!:)
Ok, we all grew up on these $25 Leo Quan Killer intonation wrap around bridges we installed on many Gibson back in the day. Tone Pro, Pigtail etc weren't around then.
I had this 1965 Cherry SG since I was 16 years old.. That was 37 years ago. Go me a 1970's double cream PAF Dimarzio Super Distortion in my routed out P-90 bridge position. I always hated the way the LEO QUAN bridges tilt forward when go to tighten strings. I also hated the thickness of them
So on this 1964 Polaris White I got to thinking yesterday. I ground down the bridge on a table flat sander. Cut a washer in half and ground it till fit tight and not push out when tighten strings above post. BAMM... sits straight, more Sustain and intonate better than ever. I also ground down the ends of adjust screws to give it the Mean Ass L@@K! This is my story, and I'm sticking to it., *****
