This Strat is All orig but repaired headstock. NO overspray done..
The Neck will never be a problem.. And body has been over sprayed in Correct Perfect Nitro, done by a guy who is Main restorer for the
Smithsonian in Washington DC... He works on Million Dollar Priceless items. And Does Not do this for Anyone, ever.. But he is the Best in the world, and think on what hew does for a livin??
It's a Perfect overspray, and inside retains alot of orig finish. Custom color PRE CBS Strat's do not Glow under Black Light.. Because No Clear Nitro was sprayed over top. That's why we don't see weather checking to much on PRE CBS Custom Color.. In 1965 Fender sprayed clear Nitro over Custom Color, and that's how come we see weather checking, and Olympic White turns Duck Yellow, Lake Placid Blue , Sonic Blue can turn Green'ish in color. Its the clear nitro over the custom color. AND PRE CBS Custom Color Fender Guitar's Sound the Best to Me.. Wood Breaths More with No Clear Coat over Finish..
You can see orig finish inside all cavities, and with black light pics. Also in Black Light Pictures you can see the original Feista Red Finish. I want to add. I got this from a old school player/collector. it was spotless and polished it's whole life. That what guitar players did. No one played a beat up finished Strat until SRV came along..
Orig Finish under Neck Plate and on Plate match
Inside is 100% but pickup (6)rubbers . Has mid 60's springs as Fender went to. The rubbers are known to dry out
Orig Frets & Neck Finish
Brazilian Rosewood Veneer Fretboard.Fender got away from the thick seaboard.. To be honest I never like a Slaboard Strat Neck, Tele's yes. but the slab Strat is to dark sounding to me, PS: SRV #1 Strat was not a slaboard and in same month as this Strat neck..
