This Assembly came from a 1 owner 1959 Fender Strat.. Custom Color Dakota Red WITH GOLD HARDWARE.. This owner played in bands on and off most of his life. He also bought a 1959 Sonic Blue Strat that year at the same time. I purchased both Strat's from this player

This is a 8 hole..GREEN NITRO, one of Leo's First Ever.. It lays flat very well, like perfect.

ALL Pickups are 6k+ STRONG And Dream Fender Bell Tone!!

Solder is 100%. to all 3 pots and 3 Way. All Pots are quiet, 3 way works as it should...Nice and Solid. Masking tape.. Even has the Pickup and 3way gold screws in it. Them screws have not been out of any of this since made. Rubber spacers on pickups are all in solid shape

As you know Leo started with a 8,9,10, then settled on the 11 screw hole pickguard. He got away with the 1954-1959 (mid) single ply white pickguard. Went to the more stable Brazlian Rosewood Slaboard Fretboard Neck. 3 Tone Sunburst from 2 tone

I bet Leo only made a handful of 8 hole pickup assembly. In 6 months time it went from 8 to 11 hole Green Slaboard Pickguards and in 1959 had the White single ply. That's 5 different Pickguards in 6 months time. As you see the writing on metal shield only 8 holes ever had a screw in there, But it's a 11 hole and there is a metal plate as used in the single ply white guards. That writing in my honest opinion is Proto Type, maybe Leo Fender writing. It's darn neat as heck to me. WE ALL Know Leo did not throw anything away, and being a custom color Strat with Gold hardware It did not get built as quick as the 98% Sunburst Strat's did. Look at the screws in the pickups. They have not been taking out in 59+ years, so how did other parts get added, and I got from orig owner.
