2001 Fender Stratocaster
Made in Japan, basswood body, bolt on 25.5" maple neck, 22 fret maple fretboard, black dot inlays, Original Floyd Rose bridge, white pickguard with black finish on the body, Seymour Duncan JB Jr. and Hotrails pickups, vintage style tuners, IRON MAIDEN/EDDIE logo on the headstock!
This guitar was used on tour with HOT FOR TEACHER - Van Halen tribute.
The guitar was used extensively by guitarist Terry Lauderdale from 2002 through present.
The guitar has HEAVY LAYERS OF (removable) COLORED TAPE to give it an Eddie Van Halen Frankenstein guitar LOOK but was NOT intended to be an exact replica!
Brad Gillis (Night Ranger, Ozzy Osbourne) was a frequent guest performer with HOT FOR TEACHER and can be seen here playing Terry's Iron Maiden Strat with EVH tape scheme!
This guitar is a road warrior and it shows however it sounds killer and plays excellent - it is bad ass!!
Modifications:
• smaller volume knob for free access to tremolo arm
• original mirrored broken on tour, replaced with white pick guard
• input jack removed and mounted on side of body for free access to tremolo arm
• sanded back of neck for satin feel
• knife marks in paint due to tape application
• original pots and wiring have been replaced due to wear.
• The guitars stock cord plug-in is in the correct place & the hole is still there - The plug in cord has been moved to the side back where Gibson Les pauls have there plug-ins.
