Basically in my opinion. Fender Strats were just dead weight from late 1975 up till Mid 1982. The quality control went out the window, so it add up to get cheaper, not as Tone'Full wood to build their 3 bolt idea on how to build a Strat. Probably that extra screw not used in the neck to the body was from a cost goggle cost nerd. You know why CBS Fender went to a Bigger headstock in 1965? Was nothing to do with Tone or made it any better with more wood. It was to have Fender Stratocaster letters be seen better when playing a Gig or Concert. Fender get Free Advertisement.. Now there are some great Strat's made in them years I mentioned.. But you don't see me selling to many..So in 1982 to 1984.. Fender used Great wood, Went back to the old Right way of doing Guitar's. I have never had a bad 82-84 1957m or 1962 Reissue that sucked or didn't sound Great. Alot look the part, but why no one ever playing the frets off any guitar's after 1984.
38+ years aged, and your ears with not be disappointed.. and I can say, I'll never part out a Fullerton Era Strat again. They sell for 5-7k, and most are at homes that never willing to part with.
