1982 Fullerton 1957 RI USA Fender Strat PICKGUARD
You know what this is. These are 5k+ soon to be 10k Investment grade Stratocaster's. You got a Fullerton Reissue not correct?
You should be thinking, will I ever see this again, not on the $5,000 Strat?
Folks this is a early first batch Fullerton Dan Smith take over on the reissue USA Strat. Almost a proto type. The very first reissues had poly wire like 60s, correct shinny back on pickguard as real deal 1957. All else the pickguards are matted dull finish on back. This is hair bit thicker than real deal 57, other than that looks same darn thing. The foil rounded end Fender had in 74-75 pickguards. (most had square end, but not all)
Remember Fender pulled out the old machines and tooling to make these reissues. Hand made, hand run milling. NOT like now, a computer builds your strat. CNC baby is your maker!
Most the early Fullerton RI had little route in control area even. Point is, THIS Is Fender in PRE CBS Days. Build it, Play it. Maybe thats why the Pre CBS are so GREAT? You Think? You wont find this again separate!
Point blank, THIS IS A DARN COOL PICKGUARD. IT EVEN LOOK GREAT ON YOUR REAL 57 STRAT, If you don't have 4 grand for real one.
