The chances of getting a 68 Fender Maple Cap Fender Strat Neck in today's dried up Vintage world/market.. are about a million to 1.. This is the Mother Load of a find... I;m getting older... and letting go of some of my stash I have enjoyed, played... had the experience.. and all of the above... No reason but to pass it on.. I have bought, sold, taking apart, built.. More Vintage Fender Strat and Telecaster's in the last 25 years than any "1" person ever has.. Not comparing the big name Dealers all over the world, as they have many employees.. I'm saying person to person. To be direct.. If I owned it as my own.. rest assure it's the Great stuff.. The photos of this Maple Cap on a whole built Strat, is not the original body or any other parts for that.. Just happen to be some photos I found on a build I put together...If you never Owned a Maple Cap Neck.. They are Great and not Many were ever made to begin with. 1967-68 Fender built low numbers.. Leo sold the company, Gibson was kicking Fenders butt in sales.. and CBS never knew what they were doing!

I have 1 photo with this 68 next to a complete all original 1968 Maple Cap Neck Strat that I own.. to give you the look. I guess the owner could not live with the Bigger headstock. It plays like Microwave Melted Butter..

Jimi could of played any year Fender Strats from 1954 to 1969.. What year did he decide to go with more than all the others...What Strat is he playing at Wood Stock... He knew what he was doing at all times.. It wasn't by luck he got to be the Best player of all time, and the most copied... Well this is how I see it

It had the Headstock Professionally trimmed down to Pre CBS size, and a real NOS Fender 1965 Waterslide Headstock Decal... NO Extra finish was ever sprayed on the neck.. it was blended and polished in and the best job I've have ever seen..So ALL Original Finish.. And It has been re fretted.. With Vintage Tall Frets. That are about 80-85% of meat left on them. Broke in, and Feels like Your Best Friend.. When Playing it...
