This is a 1953 Late Gibson Gold Top. Solid Mahogany Body/ Carved Maple Top. It has been converted to 1958 Specs and parts. First of All before I start. I PLAYS AND SOUNDS LIKE ONLY 50 YEAR PLUS WOOD CAN!
I have pictures showing PRO redone. The P 90s were filled with Maple and, Old Honduras Mahogany block.The ground wire route that orig came from the wrap around tail piece was filled.
Studs, bushings and tail piece are 1950s Light Weight nickel (real deal 50s gibson)
ABR is early 60s nickel with spring clip. (at least won't loose the saddle if break a string)
Pickups are 1965 T Top Gibson Humbuckers
Pots and cap and switch are 23rd week 1953. Orig to guitar
Knobs are 1958
Stap buttons are 1953
Pickup rings are dead perfect copies Clubs frames
Pickguard is hand made. Tip and ring are copies
Tuners are Grovers, but hole are filled PRO doweled inside. So Orig tuners go right back on
Back covers are Orig 1953
Whole back is orig finish and 1953 ser#
Fat profile neck, with orig frets, and nut, and truss rod cover
